“Crescendo de Mayo: a Fundraising Fiesta" was created by the Crescendo Foundation for the Advancement of the Arts to build awareness for a scholarship program made to raise funds to make music accessible for students originating from underserved and underrepresented communities in our area.

Founder, Lynelle Palencia, started this nonprofit organization with the intent to provide an opportunity for the youth that might not otherwise have the means to afford this type of extracurricular educational experience. As Crescendo Studios’ mission states: “The only requirement is passion!” 

The goal is to reach out to the surrounding public schools, and with the involvement of their teachers, collect a special group of students who are passionate about music but lack private lessons that can cultivate their specific talents. Our hope is to raise a minimum of $12,000, every May, to provide at least six students with a year's worth of lessons at Crescendo Studios.

This event will showcase entertainment from some of Crescendo Studios’ very own faculty, staff and students, as well as outside performers who support our mission - in true Cinco de May fashion, a good time will be sponsored by P2 Bar and Events!

“Crescendo de Mayo” is open to the public on Friday, May 5, 2023 in The Black Box. Everyone is welcome to purchase tickets to the event - all proceeds will go to the scholarship program. If you cannot join us in-person, please consider making a donation, of any amount, online at our GoFundMe!
