Leonardo García - Audio Engineer
Leonardo García (Leo Roots) is an audio engineer, music producer, and multi-instrumentalist known for a highly creative and exploratory approach to music production. Originally from the Dominican Republic, he began his musical journey at an early age through classical piano training and later expanded into guitar, bass, drums, and percussion. This wide instrumental background supports a flexible creative process driven by curiosity, experimentation, and musical depth.
A graduate of Omega Studios’ School of Applied Recording Arts and Sciences, Leonardo combines solid technical training in audio engineering, music production, and live sound reinforcement with a strong artistic vision. He approaches each project as a collaborative and creative endeavor, shaping sound through arrangement, texture, rhythm, and sonic storytelling, while maintaining professional standards in recording, editing, and mixing.
Leonardo actively explores a broad spectrum of musical styles, including Latin music, reggae, pop, rock, contemporary Christian music, electronic production, and cross-genre fusions. His willingness to move between styles allows him to adapt to different artistic needs while developing unique sonic identities that reflect both cultural roots and modern production aesthetics.
Alongside his production work, Leonardo is an experienced music educator, teaching since 2016 in the Dominican Republic and the United States. His work as an educator and creator is deeply interconnected, enabling him to guide artists and students in developing technical proficiency, creative confidence, and an authentic artistic voice. Through his work as an engineer, producer, and musician, Leonardo is committed to innovation, versatility, and meaningful musical expression.
